Sales enablement software for Australian teams: Choose platforms by real tasks, not just feature lists; Highspot, Showpad, Mindtickle and Seismic are key products to test; Australian data hosting and ATO compliance must be confirmed in writing

Sales enablement software

Evaluate sales enablement software through content, learning and CRM tasks, with current package limits for four products.

Sales enablement software helps representatives find approved content, learn and practise skills, and follow guidance during sales work. Choose a platform by the task it must improve. A feature list cannot show whether someone finds the current asset, uses it correctly or completes a CRM workflow.

Across the platforms compared here, coverage can include governed content and search, sales plays, training and practice, coaching, buyer-facing spaces, CRM integrations and analytics. Capabilities vary by package, so treat these as categories to test rather than assumptions about every platform.

Define the job before comparing platforms

Write down two or three situations that matter. For each, name the person, the information available, the action required and a satisfactory result. A representative might need the approved implementation overview before a meeting; a new starter might need to practise explaining a product limit.

Identify who owns each answer. If conflicting files have no owner, a new search interface will not establish which version is approved. Decide who publishes, reviews and retires material before judging a platform's results.

Products may cover several needs, but included capabilities depend on the proposal. If content management and training are your main choice, compare those requirements separately.

Four products to investigate

The bounded shortlist is Highspot, Showpad, Mindtickle and Seismic. Compare each against the tasks you defined, and treat directory listings for adjacent tools as discovery rather than like-for-like platform benchmarks.

Highspot

Highspot's Equip and engage offering lists governed content, search, sales plays, CRM integration and analytics. It also lists item-level knowledge checks. Confirm the plan and any enterprise capabilities in the quote.

Seismic

Treat Seismic as a candidate to qualify, not a feature-matched choice. Confirm its packages, capabilities, integrations, licensing and price against your tasks before including it in a trial.

Showpad's Professional plan lists a content library, training library, courses, reporting tools and CRM integrations. Advanced adds Roleplay AI and knowledge checks. Its pricing page lists Search AI for Shared Spaces in Advanced, while the broader Search AI feature appears in Expert. Specify which search task you need, then confirm the applicable feature and plan.

Showpad Professional lists CRM, email, Chrome and marketing automation integrations. Expert lists Salesforce among Genie Agent integrations; confirm whether that covers the CRM workflow you need.

Showpad

Mindtickle's Readiness package lists courses, assessments, one-way AI role play and coaching. The package excludes two-way AI role play. Confirm the proposed package includes the capabilities your representatives need.

Highspot's Equip and engage tier also lists digital sales rooms, AI-recommended content, content personalisation and autogeneration, and analytics and scorecards for initiatives, content and plays. Confirm which of these belong to the plan quoted.

Australian-facing comparison directories place screen-sharing and CRM tools under the sales enablement heading. CrankWheel is described as screen-sharing at $15 per month, while Pipedrive is a CRM and sales pipeline platform at $24 per month. Treat those prices as adjacent-tool listings, not enablement-platform quotes.

Mindtickle

Key capabilities across four sales enablement platforms

  • Highspot (Equip and Engage)Governed content, search, sales plays, CRM integration, analytics, AI-recommended content, content personalisation, autogeneration, knowledge checks
  • SeismicContent management, sales plays, training, coaching, CRM integrations, analytics, role-based access, workflow automation
  • Showpad (Professional & Advanced)Content library, training library, courses, reporting, CRM/email/Chrome/marketing automation integrations, Search AI (Advanced/Expert), Roleplay AI (Advanced), knowledge checks
  • Mindtickle (Readiness)Courses, assessments, one-way AI role play, coaching, learner groups, module assignment by group, feedback tracking

Licensing and plan structure

Compare licensing models before features; they change total cost. Showpad is licensed per user and its packages are customisable, with additional licence types for adjacent teams. Highspot's pricing process first asks for your team size band, the outcome you want to accomplish and the tools you integrate with.

Showpad lists add-ons named Empower, Learn and Collaborate. Mindtickle caps the number of Ready-to-Deploy programmes when a customer buys licences in a combination of LMS, Readiness, Enable or Transform. The cap is the highest number of programmes defined in either package.

No per-user price is stated here for Highspot, Showpad, Mindtickle or Seismic. Request comparable written quotes by role and package, with implementation and support shown separately.

Access, roles and compliance

Showpad states every plan includes mobile, offline and browser access, single sign-on, enterprise-grade security, and GDPR and SOC2 compliance. Ask the vendor to confirm in writing which of these cover the users, devices and data in your proposal.

For an Australian deployment, ask where data is hosted and how the proposed configuration supports your organisation's privacy obligations. Get the answer in writing rather than treating a security or compliance label as a complete assessment.

Mindtickle lets administrators assign roles and permissions inside the platform, including adding, editing and disabling users, creating learner groups and assigning modules by group membership. The platform is reached through a custom web URL, with native Android and iOS apps depending on the package.

Run a bounded evaluation

Give each candidate the same safe, representative tasks. Include a current and superseded asset, users with different access, and a fictional opportunity.

Let a representative search without vendor coaching. Ask an administrator to replace an asset and show what happens to the old version. If training matters, have a learner attempt an exercise and a manager inspect the feedback.

For CRM use, specify the record, fields, data flow and event you expect to see. An integration listing does not prove that your permissions, custom fields or workflow will work. Record what was demonstrated, simulated or left for a controlled trial.

Compare the full proposal: licences by role, modules, implementation, support and ongoing content administration. Choose against the tasks completed, the exceptions found and the work your team can maintain after launch.

Highspot reports customer-outcome claims of a 91% increase in buyer engagement and a 16% increase in quota attainment. Treat these reported results as background rather than a forecast, and decide in advance which measure you will track in your own reporting.
